Power Issues

A spring day, finishing up a home project when I get a call from the crew;

‘Hey uh, we found a conduit buried. But we found it with the roof cutter. Can you get an electrician out here?”

Ugh, Fine, Hopefully, we can get one, as it’s going to rain tonight, and the roof is wide open.

Fortunately, we found one, who came out and fixed it within 2 hours. Incredible really. Props to them. That kind of service is not easy to find. I’ll use them again.

The weekend passes, and the customer texts me on Sunday. Hey, just so you know the 3 lights in the garage area are still not working.

Shoot, I think maybe we hit another conduit and didn’t notice. Maybe we put a screw through the conduit and messed it all up.

“Well,” I said,

“See if maybe the bulbs were broken, and test them to make sure it’s not just the bulbs. Tear-off can be pretty violent, you never know.”

Well, Monday rolled around, and that, he said did not fix it.

So I got the electrician back out to investigate and had a crew on standby in case we needed to cut open the roof to deal with the issue.

They tested the circuit. It appeared to work.

They replaced the bulbs. Magic, the lights worked.

The customer apologized, apparently the bulbs he tested with also burned out.

Not getting the money for that service call back from the electrician.

Oh well, it could be worse I guess.
